Shavon D. is a lifelong Washingtonian, born in the District of Columbia and raised in the surrounding county of Prince Georges in Maryland.

As a graduate of Laurel High School (1996) and Towson University (2006), Shavon has always been known for expressing herself through multiple forms of "The Arts".  

Her first love is music (via vocal performance and poetry), which she used to express herself often throughout her childhood into adulthood as members of The WPAS Children of the Gospel, the Prince George's County Honors Chorus, as well as several church choirs/ensembles and local cover bands throughout Maryland and DC.  

She categorizes visual arts (via acrylic paintings, charcoal/pastel sketching, and other crafts) as a close second to her heart.

By profession, Shavon is an IT Consultant, as well as a REALTOR® licensed in MD and DC specializing in investment properties.

By trade, she is the Owner/Operator of HairCUSTOMIZED, LLC based in Laurel, MD.  As a licensed freelance Makeup Artist with more than twenty (20) years of working experience, Shavon specializes in Special FX, Stage, and Character Makeup design. 

As a freelance Natural Hair Stylist and Consultant with over twenty-five years of experience, she is certified in Natural Haircare, Loc Extensions and Loc Repairs in the areas of Sisterlocks, Microloc, Traditional Locs, Braided Extensions, Crochets, and Intricate Cornrows.

Simply put, Shavon enjoys customizing the salon experience for each and every one of the clients she services on an individual basis.
